Wow, a comment on a 2 hour special that I DONT have to break in two (probably.. hopefully..). Not as much to talk about ig, I mean it's baseball... Definitely not the strongest of 2 hour specials this show has to offer, but I still quite liked it nonetheless, despite what my earlier statements may imply... Has a slow and boring start, but after that it's pretty fun and has nice tension. Made me wanna rewatch One Outs for like the 4th time tho

i'm surprised at KaizouFansubs screwing up so many things even before the 'main show' starts. since i started Conan back in March, between KF and Detective Conan Translation Project i'd say those two are my top faves for best fansub of Conan.

KF screwed up the karaoke English lines of the OP song in so many places i lost count. THEN in the 'previously on Conan' section they screwed up Kazuha's line at 07:09. the guys who did ep382 wrote how Kazuha was going to learn THE FIGHT SONG FOR A SPECIFIC TEAM! they even put a translator's note at the top of the screen explaining what she said. KF just wrote "I guess I should go practice some cheers, then."

ok. first phone call... how TF did that bomber know he was a cop? is he like a famous officer or something? i remember this guy from some of the other Osaka cases, well i remember his eyebrow scar. isn't he like Heiji's 'babysitter'? personal assistant? handler? the cop Heiji 'hangs out with' the most?

Heiji is pretty famous, and Otaki does hang around with him alot (similar to megure and shinichi) so there's a good chance he recognised him from there. Also I doubt the phone was meant for Otaki, it was probably intended for Heiji.
I think the bigger question is, who the hell would he have given the phone to if Heiji hadn't been there?

well there's lots of staff members and police around giant sized events like the HS National Championships here in the USA so i bet Japan does the same thing. the 'bomber' could have handed the phone to a uniform cop or event staff member and said, 'excuse me, i found this phone abandoned over there.' then the 'bomber' could have walked off and called/emailed/texted the phone later on to start the whole 'catch me if you can!' game.
